It’s one of the most frequently asked questions in regards to the HCG diet. What is an approved HCG diet menu anyway?
HCG diet menus van definitely vary. But they can’t really vary greatly due to the restrictions of the diet. There are only so many appropriate food choices. There are no exceptions; even when you just want to follow a recipe and allow that one spice or vegetable that isn’t “approved.” There’s no such thing as a recipe that is “almost” HCG approved. It’s either approved or not. And that’s it. Don’t make exceptions; you’ll limit your weight loss potential.
When you receive your HCG you’ll notice that there is one HCG diet menu provided on the back of the Pocket Guide that includes all the protocol and rules. The HCG diet menu provided lists lunch and dinner and snacks for a full week. There’s no breakfast meals listed because you’re supposed to basically replace breakfast with tea while on the diet.
When dieters successfully stick to tea for breakfast they can save more of their “foods” for later in the day. It keeps them from feeling hungry because they’re able to designate snacks.
People on the HCG diet find that their hardest time of the day is late evening. That couple hours before bed is extra difficult. They just want a snack; mostly out of habit. They can’t seem to relax after dinner because they are used to eating something right then. Other dieters find themselves unable to focus on the job in the late afternoon because they really, really WANT a snack. It’s not that they are hungry. It’s mostly a habit.
During these times the fruits can come in very handy. They are easy to incorporate as snacks. Smoothies, cut apples with lemon squeezed on top, or just a fresh apple…they are always great snack options.
When coming up with a HCG diet plan of your own make sure that you think about your own personal preferences. You can design an entire HCG diet plan menu around what you do or don’t like. If you like one or two items more than the others on the HCG list then incorporate them more. If you can cook on Monday, but not on Wed. or Thurs. then cook extra meals on Monday. These are the things that will dictate your personal HCG diet menu.
And don’t forget to take advantage of what’s offered. There are articles with recipes included offered for free online. There are supplements and tools that make sticking to the diet easier. There are recipe guides that have full lists of HCG approved recipes. And having something to work with can make a huge difference in staying happy while on the HCG diet.
